Why do we as parents occasionally test out kids?
It would be different if I was talking about strengths and weaknesses, but when comes to things they’re good at, why do we still challenge their abilities?
Do your homework this morning. Ok dad, he says. Looking at me with the, “get of my back, will ya” kinda look. He’s straight A’s across the board and even made the National Elementary School Honors Society last year, so I don’t have a giant reason to stay on his back but many times I find myself pushing my weaknesses down their throats with the hopes that they won’t acquire any of my pitfalls. Not sure if that makes any sense or not.
In Chucks mind, that’s just how it works.
